Morgan starred on a video about AIDS awareness and prevention, Safe Sex for Men and Women. Proceeds from the video were donated in part to the American Foundation for AIDS Research. She also serves on the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan has spearheaded numerous other fund-raising projects for the disease and she also testified in front of a specific Congressional panel on AIDS education. She sits on the Board of Governors of APLA and the Board of Directors of Amfar. C. Everett's former deputy surgeon general requested occasionally to sub for him during AIDS awareness events. Additionally, she was host of an AIDS Awareness Special with Steve Bell. Ted Koppell interviewed Morgan twice on Nightline on AIDS. Morgan was awarded the Emmy nomination for her special episode of Murphy Brown written for her by Diane English. In the spring, she starred with Joan Rivers in ABC television's Your Money or Your Wife. Then, she began the summer season with Murder At The PTA Luncheon produced by Von Zerneck/Sertner. The show also had Cindy Williams and Marla gibbs. Her next film was Harmony Gold produced Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady along with Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan played a part in the psychological suspense thriller that was exclusively produced for the USA Network garnering one of the biggest ratings in the history of the network.
